They did not encourage brutality,
 Neither did they read it from a scripture.
Who are you… to dictate mortality?
ALL religions fit into this picture.                                                                                                                                                                           
It takes colors to make art elegant
and a bit of effort to make them blend
with a keen eye you’ll see… ALL COLORS ARE RELEVANT.
Are these religious conflicts going to end?                                                                                                                                                              
Put down your weapons & lift up your arms
Not a religion supports violence
Now let’s listen to these dreadful alarms
Someday there will be a calming silence
We shouldn’t have to suffer from one’s wraith
Especially when our ONLY mistake was having a different faith.

America has gone backwards. Lynchings have returned and they all blame it on depression even though there is no record of it. This poem is written as a response of such heinous acts and how racism has been an issue since the time of our grandparents. That we will continue what we started and it will end with us.
