I’m sorry that all that we really ask is to live our lives
And not be harrassed
I’m sorry that you can’t control yourself but maybe for once think of somebody else
To the little girl crying under the covers cuz “men can’t help it” as she’s had to discover
Years later, she works up the courage to reveal her truth, to expose the pig who took her innocent youth
But The world turns sour quickly and is fast to accuse, the little girl much too naive to refuse
They blame her clothes, her looks, or even her actions
“He is a man, he can’t help his attractions”
But what about when she screamed let me go
When she bruised from how he touched her below
They shrug it off, they ignore her pain
Say they care, then quickly forget her name
She gets no justice, her rapist walks free
She still flinches when touched, but that they don’t see
One fateful day she decides she can’t take it anymore
Takes a bottle of pills then falls to the floor
So next time you choose blame and criticize
Think of your mother, your sister, your daughter and empathize

RAPE, why is it normalized?

RAPE, why is it normalized?

RAPE,searches state that 91.6%of the world’s rape cases are left unreported, and this is one thing that hurts me the most, there are several reasons to why women do not report their rape,it can either be that they are ashamed, cultures, traditions and several more. If they are not going to speak up, it’s about we do! Mind you there are several types of rapes, some that have moved me quite a lot(payback rape,LGBTQ rape, custodial rape, gang rape, child rape, prison rape, serial rape, date rape). Hopefully having my poem on this site will open up a few eyes and declare victory for us women, and also establish a secure future for the kids playing hopscotch around town.

One of Us

One of Us

Each paragraph of this poem tells us about the problems of the society and how we fought them . We all made mistakes and at some point some of us lost our humanity but we always got its back before our dark side took over our bright side completely. Social evils have prevailed in our society since the very beginning but we always found a way to fight them . Through this poem i also want to motivate all those fighting for blm by showing them how we conquered the social evils in the society earlier and there efforts are worth it .

Are Nuisance Laws a Nuisance?

Are Nuisance Laws a Nuisance?

Many things that are formed with good intentions can, in a way, backfire, giving rise to other issues left unconsidered during the creation of such laws. Take, for example, nuisance laws. By way of background, nuisance laws are ordinances that are created to limit undesirable actions in a community. These “undesirable” actions may include music that’s too loud, dangerous vapors, and criminal activity. Now, these laws evidently seem great — they protect our citizens from dangerous or “annoying” actions that may occur in our neighborhoods. In many cases, the tenants of the property in which the nuisance is occurring are usually evicted, literally clearing out the nuisance.
