RAPE, why is it normalized?

RAPE, why is it normalized?

RAPE,searches state that 91.6%of the world’s rape cases are left unreported, and this is one thing that hurts me the most, there are several reasons to why women do not report their rape,it can either be that they are ashamed, cultures, traditions and several more. If they are not going to speak up, it’s about we do! Mind you there are several types of rapes, some that have moved me quite a lot(payback rape,LGBTQ rape, custodial rape, gang rape, child rape, prison rape, serial rape, date rape). Hopefully having my poem on this site will open up a few eyes and declare victory for us women, and also establish a secure future for the kids playing hopscotch around town.

Through this poem i also want to motivate all those fighting for blm by showing them how we conquered the social evils in the society earlier and there efforts are worth it .

Are Nuisance Laws a Nuisance?

Are Nuisance Laws a Nuisance?

Many things that are formed with good intentions can, in a way, backfire, giving rise to other issues left unconsidered during the creation of such laws. Take, for example, nuisance laws. These “undesirable” actions may include music that’s too loud, dangerous vapors, and criminal activity. Now, these laws evidently seem great — they protect our citizens from dangerous or “annoying” actions that may occur in our neighborhoods. In many cases, the tenants of the property in which the nuisance is occurring are usually evicted, literally clearing out the nuisance.

Insta Feed…The Addiction Of Society

This piece talks about the situation of migrant labourers in India during the outbreak of covid. There was a mass migration of labourers from urban areas to their native places and people basically walked thousands of miles to reach their home towns. Some of them didn’t even have slippers on their feet. There’s also a glimpse of other social workers working in these unfavourable conditions, putting their lives at risk, just so that we’re safe. Lastly, it talks about that certain hope that is engendered in such adversity of the better times to come.

Fear of Change….Leads To Oppression?

Fear of Change….Leads To Oppression?

Some of you may have read one of my last articles,”What The Media Doesn’t Tell You About Black Protests.” I decided to have a new take on the article, by telling my readers, why.

Racism is a problem rooted in ancient history, but what is racism? Racism, by definition is “prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior,” but the underlying cause of what racism really is, is the fear of something different than oneself. I believe that it is fear, more specifically, the fear of change that sparked the violence, we recognize as racism.
